I-96 to New Center

Public comments about the I-94 Proposed Modifications are listed numerically. Click on the comment to see how the project has been redesigned in response to the community.

1. We want to keep the existing NB M-10 exit ramp to the New Center area.

2. The Third St. bridge should be kept in some capacity. It connects to Henry Ford Health and Wayne State University.

3. Wayne State University prefers Merrick St. bridge over M-10 to be for bicycles and pedestrians only.

4. Keep Canfield St. connection.

5. Keep existing EB I-94 exit ramp to Midtown. Improve bridge crossings at John R, Cass and Second Ave. to provide better neighborhood connectivity.

6. Cars using local streets instead of service drives increase impacts/noise in neighborhoods.
