I-94 Project

MDOT has studied the potential environmental effects of modernizing I-94 in Detroit. The Project was first studied and environmentally cleared in 2005. More recent improvements to the Project design required additional study in the form of a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS). The Draft SEIS (DSEIS) was published for a 45-day public and agency review and comment period, which concluded on October 31, 2019. The comments received are summarized in the Combined Final SEIS and Record of Decision (Combined FSEIS and ROD) to be published summer of 2020.
